Sado Island and Tanabata Festival

Sado Island was filled with dreamy ocean, hot weather, fun driving, eating, music and getting to know good people. Toss in the sweltering heat, stingy jellyfish, seaweed, sea-cockroaches, and no showers for good measure and there you have it - perfect vacation!



Tanabata Festival! First time I went out somewhere with Skye :) Japanese are crazy aren't they?! It's amazing how much time and effort went into making these beautiful decorations to hang from high in the ceiling and for people to walk through them. All for just one week a year. But you know what? It's crazy great, because it was sooo choice! And none of them were vandalised - could never do this in a western country.
